What Causes Dizziness And Nausea Along With Nose Bleeding?

List of possibilities long;need some info from you
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help you. I completely understand how your symptoms can be frustrating and worrying at the same time, but I am here to help and guide you through with either an accurate diagnosis or at least to help you narrow down the list of possible causes.
Let me start by listing some of the most common causes that can cause such a presentation, they are:
-Ear infections
-Nose trauma, tumor, foreign body, nasal polyps, etc.
-Medication related (Eg. use of aspirin, etc.)
-High blood pressure
-Extreme temperatures (heat or cold)
-Dehydration
-Sinusitis
-Migraine
-Diabetes
-Cardiac abnormalities
and a few others.
As you can see ma'am, the list is quite long and difficult to diagnose. So I would like some information from you to be able to better understand the possible cause for your symptoms ma'am. Please write back to me with a response to the following questions ma'am:
-Do you have any itching in your ear? If yes, have you inserted any foreign objects inside your ear or have gone swimming recently or are facing cold weather?
-Are you on any medications? If yes, please list them? Medications to cause thinning of blood?
-Extreme temperatures in your region?
-What is your daily consumption of fluids?
-Have you recently measured your blood pressure and conducted an EKG(ECG)?
-Do you experience vertigo (is a balance disorder in which the patient experiences inappropriate spinning with associated symptoms of nausea and vomiting)
-Do you feel sensitive to light or sound? Does it irritate you?
-Any stress or emotional trauma or anxiety?
-Exposure to toxic gases or chemicals?
I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further ma'am. We shall work together in finding the possible cause ma'am.
Best wishes.

Please be patient ma'am,
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
Thabk you so much for that information.
I can understand that your case is causing you some anxiety as it is proving to be difficult to diagnose, but as long as you have symptoms there is a condition that will be present requiring a diagnosis and treatment.
Here are a few investigations that might help to be evaluated, if they have not been checked already. They are:
-Complete cardiac profile
-Blood coagulation profile
-ENT consultation
-MRI of the head and neck to look for any compression of the spinal cord or other possible abnormalities
-Correction of hormone levels
-Doppler USG of the neck
Please provide me with the list of medications you are on, for a second opinion (just the make sure these medications are not causing your symptoms).
I hope and pray we can find the cause soon and relieve you of your symptoms. Please write back to me with the list of medications as this could help, and request for all the above suggestions.
Best of luck ma'am.

Simvistatin, Baclofen, Pristiq, Morphine Sulfate (extended release) Celebrex, Methimizole, L-lysine, Acidophilus, Vitamin D, Calcium, and sometimes goodies shots that don't have aspirin. If you need anything else let me know.
All medications can be related to your side eff's
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am and thank you for that information.
As expected, the medications you are currently using can cause all the symptoms you are experiencing. Let me list the medications and the side effects they carry that match yours, they are:
-Simvastatin: Can cause unexplained muscle and/or joint pain and nausea
-Baclofen: Can cause weakness, dizziness and nausea
-Pristiq: Dizziness, muscle stiffness, and nose bleeds. Although, while on this medication if you experience nose bleeds you should report to a doctor immediately
-Celebrex: Can cause nausea
-Morphine: Can cause dizziness and nausea
-Methimizole: Dizziness, nausea and muscle/joint pain
-L-lysine: No side effects relating to your presentation
-Acidophilus: No side effects relating to your presentation
-Vitamin D supplements: Weakness and nausea
-Goody shots: No side effects relating to your presentation
As you can see ma'am, not just one or two but all your side effects are common side effects of the above listed medications. I wonder how your doctor ruled out your presentation to be possible side effects of these drugs when the side effects are:
-Nausea: Can be caused by simvastatin, baclofen, celebrex, morphine, vitamin D
-Dizziness: Can be caused by baclofen, pristiq, morphine and methimizole
-Weakness: Seen commonly with baclofen and vitamin D
-Nose bleeds: Considered to be a serious side effect of pristiq
-Neck pain: Simvastatin, pristiq and methimizole
I hope this information proves to be valuable to you, and you can take this up with your doctor during the next visit. Please feel free to discuss any issues with me, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
The sensation of something in your hair is normal and is most probably nothing but hightened senses, there is nothing to worry about unless there is something in your hair (eg. Lice), have it looked at by a friend or kin.
As for the weight gain, if your doctors have found no abnormality and you continue to have a healthy diet, taking your age into consideration I would suspect menopause to be the cause. Let me provide at least 3 theories supporting that:
-In menopause, estrogen levels start reducing and reach a low level, and estrogen controls body weight to a large extent.
-Lowered estrogen levels causes the basal metabolic rate to drop making it difficult to lose weight. It also causes the individual to be less physically active and consume more, resulting in weight gain.
-Body starches and blood sugar is not utilised effectively during low estrogen levels causing excessive deposition of body fat
Not to a large extent, but replacement of estrogen (i.e. estrogen therapy can help. I hope that is clear.
As for your doctor, it would have been wise to keep a more experienced and professional doctor as your family doctor. I hope you find my response helpful ma'am, please feel free to write back to me anytime, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.

Still have hope
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am and thank you for that information.
Wow, a 3000 sq ft. home; and I am really proud of your level of activity and a good diet. But sometimes, some things cannot be explained. I had a patient who ate all he could and was the size of a broom stick. His family described his consumption to equal about 5 members of their family, I suspected malabsorption syndrome. But all his reports returned clear, and all nutritional levels were normal ruling out all such possibilities. He continues to live a healthy life and recently even had a child.
You did not mention the liver and hormone reports, or are they still due? Please do write back to me with them. I understand how your doctors must be baffled, but I still have some hope as I suspect a hormonal cause. Until that is ruled out, I have not joined their club.
Looking forward to hearing some good news.
Best of luck ma'am

Looking forward to next Wednesday
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am.
It would be noteworthy to know that you mentioned only a hysterectomy and not a hysterectomy plus a bilateral oopherectomy which means your ovaries were left in place to produce the hormones your body required. As these ovaries would have reduced functioning or completely stopped once menopause hit, your symptoms of weight gain could have risen.
I am trying to be positive and hoping we can find some bleak light of hope, with which we can conti ue to work and help relieve you of your symptoms. Looking forward to the reports. Please do not hesitate wo share anything with me, I am here purely to help you.
Best of luck ma'am.
