What Causes Dizziness, Balance Issues And Severe Pain In Right Hip?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Apr 2016
Question: I had an episode two nights ago in which I was jerky, had difficulty with my balance and my husband had to help me to bed. My forehead on the left side was numb and it still is. I am a nurse and I called out from work because I don't feel like my judgment is sharp as usual.

I have extreme pain in my right hip. I don't recall falling. There is no bruise. I started taking pain medication Tuesday. As you can see I am on a lot of meds, I would love to wean off some of these but will need to check with my primary physician first.

My question is should I go to emergency room or is this something that can wait until doctor office opens?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

As long as you have experienced only dizziness (no faint), you should stay at home and wait to see your doctor.

If the symptoms will be more intense or you will experience presyncope or syncope (passing out, faint) you should go to ER.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
