What Causes Dizziness, Chilled Palms And Weakness?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Jul 2014
Question: I have episodes of dizziness and my palms get chilled. This gets cured as soon as I take enough meal.
But late after 2 hrs i again experiance the same weakness and could not walk at all. I get help from someone to take me food from the room next to mine. This is really a hectic as I want to depend others all the time. I was affected by typhoid thrice (1:160, 1:80, 1:80) couple of years ago. Is the weakness I am experiancing now because of its impact?

Took so many tablets but no cure. Doctor diagnosed me and said it is vestibulitis and will get cured sooner. But this is more than a year i am still having the problem.

Brief Answer:
variations in sugar levels?needs investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query and understood your concern.

The previous year typhoid causing this problem is very rare possibility.

Since the symptoms subside after having food I like you to get checked for Glucose Tolerance Test and insulin level. This will help in finding the cause for the symptoms. Vestibulititis is one possible cause.

But since there is variation with food intake I like to rule our hypo/hyper glycemia or rare possibility is myopathy. Along with GTT get checked for complete hemogram, renal function test and serum creatinine kinasd levels. These may help in diagnosis and further treatment.

So get back with the investigations reports for further discussion on the management.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any questions. I will be glad to answer them.

Wish you faster recovery and good health.
Regards
