What Causes Dizziness During Bowel Movement And Light-headedness?
Question: About 2 weeks ago I woke up to use restroom and while walking I had a dizzy spell. Didn't really last that long. On occasion I feel lightheaded with sudden movements. Sounds weird, but only when I close my eyelids do I feel lightheaded, but only for 1 second or so and not all the time. As I said before, it does not happen everyday. Thank You

Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that your symptoms may be related to an inner ear disorder.
Regarding the episode of dizziness while going to the bathroom it may be related to low blood pressure or orthostatic hypotension. An inner ear disorder could mimic this clinical scenario as well.
I recommend consulting the ENT specialist for a careful physical examination and labyrinthine tests to rule in\out any possible inner ear disorder.
I would also advise to closely monitor your blood pressure.
Further tests such as:
- complete blood count
- thyroid hormone levels
-blood electrolytes
- fasting glucose etc. to exclude other possible metabolic causes.
If all the above tests result normal, the most probable cause of your symptoms would be anxiety.
