Posted on Thu, 25 Feb 2016
Question: Hello, having moderate dizziness since waking this morning. left ear about 80% blocked since Friday. mildly nauseous but no fever or sore throat. Any small movement of my head increases dizziness. seems like a cold but never had the dizziness before. I would like to be able to rule out flu, stroke or heart trouble if possible. thanks. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Blocked ear causing dizziness

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. With left ear blocked , its likely the cause of dizziness you have. Get an otorhinolaryngologist, let them have a look at ear and sort out the cause of it blocking, if cerumen / wax they will aspirate it. Will prescribe you some antivert or any other anti vertigo medicine and your symptoms will improve. They will also correlate it clinically and rule out other differentials.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
