What Causes Dizziness When Suffering From Non Specific Duodenitis?
Hi, I usually have giddiness early in the morning. For now I am taking a multivitamin and vitamin D3 2000 IU. In mornings my pulse is also very high nearly 110 BPM. I also have chronic non specific duodenitis. Please help.
Please define YOUR meaning of GIDDINESS
Detailed Answer:
Good morning. I am Dr. Saghafi and I'm a neurologist in the XXXXXXX OH part of the world. Greetings to wherever you may happen to be at this time. I would love to help you with your question.
However, I need YOUR definition of "giddiness" as you describe occurs in the mornings. Does your pulse slow down as the day goes on? How is your blood pressure and what have your Vitamin D levels been like for which you are on 2000IU (which by the way I believe is a good maintenance dose for someone who is deficient).
Are you in constant pain with the duodenitis and is that part of the reason that you have a rapid heart rate?
If you feel this information has helped you please consider leaving some written feedback and a STAR RATING of this encounter and I look forward in expanding more on what I think may be going on as soon as you get me some additional information.

Yes the pulse slows down as day progresses. My vit d level was 9. I have pain sometimes not all the times.
Blood pressure is 120/80.
I also have difficulty in breathing in morning when pulse rate is high. Feels like my lungs are not getting enough oxygen.
Thanks,
XXXX
Thank you for updates
Detailed Answer:
Good morning.....very well on your updated information.
Your Vitamin is extremely low to be sure. My usual protocol when Vitamin D is this low is to give a significant boost using high dose gel caps once weekly for 4 weeks then, switch to a daily regimen of 2000 International Units daily. We then, would retest serum levels in 6-8 weeks.
The fact that you awaken with a rapid heartrate that then, slows down as the day goes on with normal blood pressure suggests to me that you are awakening in a state of anxiety for some reason. Perhaps, you are in pain from the chronic duodenitis? Is this being treated with anything or are you just bearing through the pain? Perhaps, you are not sleeping well. Usually duodenal ulcerative disease causes people to awaken in the middle of the night and then, not be able to sleep.
Therefore, you must seek out your private physician or a gastroenterologist who can step in and help relieve this problem otherwise, I don't know if you can easily overcome these issues.
When your pulse is high and your body is in a state of nervousness or anxiousness then, breathing becomes more rapid and shallow which makes it more difficult to catch a breath.
Therefore, in conclusion, I believe there is room to improve and feel you can and will get better if you do the following things:
1. Boost up your Vitamin D levels by going on an AGGRESSIVE replenishment schedule using Ultra High doses of Vitamin D (50,000IU weekly x 4 weeks) followed by your daily regimen of 2000IU.
2. You need to address the duodenitis with either your physician or if this has not been very success a gastroenterologist so that you may get better sleep if that's a problem.
3. If you also suffer from anxiety which is unrelated to any of your medical issues (outside stressors such as work, school, relationships, etc) then, you must address these as well with your physician or therapist otherwise, you will continue to have a fast heartrate and trouble breathing.
