Brief Answer:
if your blood pressure is too low you should take a less potent drug

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

the target blood pressure when taking antihypertensive drugs is not low. Actually a 130/80 is fine for most patients. Anything lower than that is acceptable provided that it causes no symptoms (faintness, dizziness, etc). Since you seem to be having symptoms with your current regimen, a change can be considered. In patients like you I usually only keep one of the drugs of the combination. You're taking two drugs (lisinopril and HCT). Keeping lisinopril only or reducing the dosage of HCT to 12.5mg (that is a 20/12.5 pill) sounds like a good plan. Remember that certain disorders require low blood pressures. Such cases include aortic aneurysms, serious heart failure, etc. It's always better if your doctor does the necessary changes because your doctor knows your history and can take the appropriate decisions with safety.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!

Brief Answer:
it depends

Detailed Answer:
It depends on the pill... If the pill is designed to be cut in half then yes you can. You can check the summary of product characteristics (inside the package) or check whether it's scored in the middle or not; scored pills can be split. Hard coated pills and capsules are examples of pills that can't be split in half.

Kind Regards!
