What Causes Dry Cough And Low Body Temprature When Suffering From Chest Infection?
Lower respiratory infection/Bronchitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking Health care magic forum.
Your problem is most likely a lower respiratory infection. It is usually ruled out by auscultation on lung fields. In some cases Chest x rays are advised to rule out bronchitis or pneumonia.A routine blood analysis should be carried out also.
For such case in my patients i treat with antibiotics usually my empirical choice will be Co amoxiclav or azithromycin.I also give antihistamines like levocetirizine and cough syrups with bronchodilators like terbutaline and antitussives like dextromethorphan.Cough will last for around 1 week or more usually.Abdominal muscle soreness is most likely due to excessive coughing.
Take more fluids and adequate rest. You can take warm chicken soup.Tea with lemon.Vitamin C chewable form also will be helpful.
Hope this may help you.Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks
