
What Causes Dry Patches And Lumps In Between The Ankle And Heel?

I am 53 years old. 5 feet 96 pounds and I guess my overall health is satisfactory. I am not very active I excercise and walk my dogs occassionally. I do not eat well. I forget to eat and if I make a meal for someone else later when I am wondering what I ate, I forget that it wasn't my meal and then think I ate.I sit alot and often fall asleep in my office chair (large high back). I wear flat shoes or tennis. I stopped wearing heels 5 or 6 years ago because my back, feet and legs hurt daily at the end of the day. Sometimes a painful throbbing up my whole leg and then sometimes a vibrating pain in my calf. Sometimes so painfully I could not sleep and my husband would massage until I fell asleep. My back still hurts after I have been standing in the kitchen cooking but the foot pain from heels mostly gone.

I would suggest that you perform Plantar fascia and calf muscle stretching exercises.
Do wear MCR Rubber footwear which you can provide at a medical store.
Regarding the dry patches and lumps, they could be fungal infection or other skin disorders, such needs to be looked at by a Dermatologist. Keep the feet dry and clean. Avoid sweat accumulation and congestive footwear.
Do get an Xray of the lumbosacral spine to look for any vertebral pathology that could cause your back pain. Must rule out slip disc, canal stenosis and listhesis. Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the affected region.
Take Tablet Ultracet twice a day for 15 days. Apply pain killer gel. Hot fomentation will help.
