Brief Answer:
Vitamin B deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thank you for writing to HCM.

Dryness and blisters over the lips are common in the older age due to decreased production of saliva. In addition a deficiency of vitamin B ( B1, B2 and B12) and vitamin C lead to blister formation over the lips. A photograph of the lip region will help identify if it is due to a viral infection of some sort. Please do share one if possible.

In my opinion, you may start supplementing yourself with a multivitamin syrup or tablet that has vitamin B- Complex and vitamin C. Take these supplements once daily for about a month. You may also consider applying an antiseptic lip gel on the region to help in its healing.

Hope this information helps. Do let me know if you have any other questions.
