What Causes Early Recruitment Of Follicles?

Question: Hello Doctor,

I am 31 year old. I am trying to conceive & hence consulted a doctor. Blood test was done on the 2nd day of my period & Semen Analysis was done for my husband. The results were all normal. During ultrasound, doctor told me that my egg reserve is less. Though I get my period very very regularly. Mine is a 30 day cycle. Last month ovulation occured on 21st day after my period and the follicle size was 26x26. This month I got my period on 29th March & doctor told me to visit her on 8th April. To our XXXXXXX the follicle had already ruptured. It was just my 10th day after periods and this was a premature follicle rupture. Doctor gave me DHEAPreg tablet to improve my egg quality and has given herNMPSR300 tablet to be continued from this month.
Please could you let me know the reason for early rupture of follicle ?
Are the medications causing hormonal imbalance ?

Brief Answer:
Early recruitment of follicles

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concerns about early ovulation.

This happens due to a phenomenon called early recruitment seen in women with low ovarian reserve.

It means the follicle was already big on day 2 of cycle. So it ruptures early. Hence scan on day 2 to estimate follicular size is important.

Medicines are not causing any imbalance.

I hope your doubt is cleared.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.

Hello Doctor,

Thank you so much for your reply.

My main concern is, if I get pregnant anytime in future due to ovum released from early ovulation, will there be any complications during pregnancy or any abnormalities in child. As it is said that early follicle rupture is not good.

For me, what would be the best period you would suggest to have IC. Should it be immediately after periods till 25th day ?

What are the chances of conceiving for a woman with low ovarian reserve?

Doctor could you please brief me the difference between Ovarian Stimulation & IVF?

My doctor had told me that we will try timed IC for 2 months, if it still does not work out, we shall go for Stimulation.

Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Early ruptured follicle will give normal baby

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

1. If you conceive due to early follicular rupture there won't be problem to baby. It would be normal.

2. Best time to have sexual intercourse is when scan shows follicular rupture.

3. Ovarian stimulation means giving medicine to increase egg size. IVF means performing test tube baby by taking your eggs out of you and mixing with husband's sperm in the lab and putting them back into uterus in you.

4.Chances of conception in women with low ovarian reserve depends on how low is reserve. Let me know your AMH levels and Amtrak follicle count on day 2.
