What Causes Elevated ALT Levels After Switching From Dexilant To Nexium?

Question: Hi,
Thank you for your reply. My issue was a slightly high alt old test of 52. I took another test as well as a hep b and c. The hep test was negative and the alt went down to 26. I assume everything is okay. I changed medication before the second test from dexilant to nexium. Do you think this is why my alt went down? I am still curious as to why my test was high. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Glad to know that your ALT went down.
It is unlikely to be due to Dexilant.
Transient rise occurs sometimes due to infection or alcohol or any drug consumption.
If Hepatitis B and C are negative and ALT settled, nothing to worry.
Just avoid any medicines like pain killers. Also you should avoid alcohol in case you consume.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
