Question : elevated amonium and potassium with type 2 diabetes,cause?Also has had aceities x 2,abnormal liver enzymes.Allbe

Hello. Thanks for writing to hcm. In diabetics, the common causes can be either a renal problem and/ or hepatic problem. Among the renal causes it is possible they can have a condition called renal tubular acidosis and among the liver causes cirrhosis is probable secondary to a variety of reasons.
