Brief Answer:
Check the sugar levels again, If high you need a higher dosage.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Madam, Welcome to HCM. Gone through your query and understood your concerns.

For the control of sugar levels you have mentioned, you need an increase in the dosage of diabetic medication. Sugar levels don't rise to that extent because of asthmatic drug you started.

First check the sugar levels one more time both fasting and post prandial. If they are such high again then, Take Tablet with combination of Glimipiride 2mg plus Metformin 500mg twice daily 20 minutes before eating break fast and before dinner. This is for your suggestion. This needed to be prescribed by your local doctor.

After starting this medication have check of sugar levels, weekly for 3 weeks. If sugar levels are controlled, then you can continue this or else dose is to be adjusted based on your sugar levels.

Meanwhile, diet control with no sugars and sweets, Less carbohydrate diet, small and frequent meals. Walking for about 20 minutes daily would help you.

Thank you
