What Causes Erectile Dysfunction After Having Losartan?
Question: I am a 52 year sexually active man that takes losartan to control my high blood pressure. My blood pressure was not very high at 145/90 but my Dr was conserned combined the the fact that I am about 35 bs over weight. My blood pressure is under control with the medication but I have noticed that I loose my erection during sex. I am very active sexually and masturbate once a day and sometime three to four times in one day but when I have intercourse with my wife I am aroused but loose my erection. Can and should I consider to take Cials to help my erection issue?

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you are known hypertensive and taking Losartan and facing problem of Secondary Erectile Dysfunction since very recently .

1) Do you get good erection hard enough to penetrate vagina ?
2) Do you ejaculate immediately after penetration ?
3) Is there any tress factor that has cropped up in your personal life or at work place ?

First of all I would state that your problem of ED is not due to (Medication).
Losartan .
It is very common to face problem of secondary ED at this age but it gets resolved over a period of time .
Taking Sildenafil (Viagra) or Cialis will help to get good hard sustainable erection and to have enjoyable sex.You can take Cialis with minimum dose everyday or a single dose one hour before planned sexual activity .

In response to your questions. My erection is very strong during foreplay for about 5 minutes with hand manipulation. It is strong enough for vaginal penitration. As far as my relationship with my wife and life in general, there is a small amount of stress, but nothing out of the ordinary. There are no major issues in my life and we are fetting along quite well. The problem with my erection arrives about 10 minuites into sex. Once i remove my erection from my wifes vigina to make a position change my erection will go down. Where in the past this would never happen and i could maintain an erection for 45 minutes .
