I have had tests and turns up my gall bladder is fine, my liver is great, everything is good except they found my esophagus is a little weak. My doc put me on Reglan but it has had no effect.
Please help!
you seems to be having gastritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms can be due to gastritis.
I would suggest that you should get an Endoscopy done.
You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Ondensteron 4 mg. You should stop taking Reglan.
Following precautions may be helpful :-
1.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
2.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5.Avoid gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc.
6.Drink lots of water daily.
7.Eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions.
8.Avoid eating fast and talking while eating.
Further medical management can be planned according to the reports of the Endoscopy and if the symptoms persists get yourself clinically examined by a Gastroentologist.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.

Also...is there a risk my esophagus could be damaged by so much burping?
Endoscopy will be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for providing more information.
I would advise that you should first go for an Endoscopy. This will help in planning further medical management and knowing the status of your esophagus and stomach.
Also avoid anxiety as anxiety will increase your symptoms.
I hope this answers your query. If you have any further doubts, please mention.
Regards. Thanks.
