He gets up about 11:30 has lunch might do an errand and then he goes back to sleep. I get home around 3:30 or 4:00 he is up for an hour or so an then falls asleep when I am making dinner. After dinner we might go for a ride, do an errand , sit on the deck and then at 8:00 PM he falls back to sleep What is wrong with him?

Brief Answer:
You have to force him to exercise more.

Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to health care magic,
Have you done his thyroid functions? Low thyroid can cause this.
Since he needs CPAP, there is a possibility that there is Carbon dioxide retention and oxygen deficiency, that can also lead to weakness and drowsiness not totally compensated by CPAP.
How are his B-12 and vitamin D levels?
Has he had a CT brain. Part of brain called hypothalamus dealing with sleep if affected can cause this.
I am sure you would have tested his blood sugar?
You have to force him to exercise more, and work around the house.
But no harm in ruling out causes listed above.
Regards
