What Causes Exhaustion And Heaviness In The Eyes And Forehead?

Question: I'm a 67 year old female whoi has been thoroughly checked out. Blood work, x rays, cystoscope. Everything good, great in fact. Only issue is dry macular degeneration but not serious yet.
Lately, I'm so exhausted all the time I can't understand it. Ready to go to sleep when I wake up and life seems overwhelming. Crazy because I have great healthy grown children, a fabulous husband, and two beautiful homes. My eyes and forehead feel heavy and I've been taking lots of vitamins. Totally puzzled.

Brief Answer:
Symptoms suggestive of mild form of depression.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
As you mentioned no pathology is found from the clinical examination and the lab and radiological exams has resulted normal! This is a good news.
I think you have been treated with vit D too, at your age it's deficiency is often a cause of exhaustion.
You reported some symptoms of a mild form of depression. Even though you do not have any reason why to be depressed, it happens during the life to have periods like this.
If your treating physician has excluded certain medical problems and diseases, i think he has suggested you to see a psychologist and follow some sessions of psychotherapy.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
