![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I just looked up and experienced a loud crack from the back of my head , whilst this occurred I had quickly clenched my jaw after seeing something. Shortly afterwards I felt a tingling in the jaw and I now feel an odd sensation coming from the back of my head/neck.
Brief Answer:
It could be temporomandibular joint disorder.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in.
You need to go for temporomandibular joint examination. Though you feel it could be a neurological condition, in view of the cracking sound, issues with clenching jaw and the tingling sensation, I feel itis more likely to be a joint disorder. I would recommend you get a proper examination of oral cavity. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon consultation will be my advice to you. Neurological examination should follow if the dental surgeon are not concerned about this issue.
Hope I answered your query
Wishing you good health
