Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Extreme pain in the kidney area is usually caused by kidney stone. The pain can radiate downward to the groin. It comes and goes suddenly. The main reason for kidney stone pain is smooth muscles spasm. Non of mentioned pain killers do not revert the spasm. Moreover, Vicodin can cause smooth muscles spasm making the pain even worse.
In case of kidney stone it is very important to find out if the stone is not too large to pass ureter and if there is no kidney blockage. That is why you should have abdominal ultrasound done at first.
To help with the pain you should use medicines like Metamizole, Buscolisine or Petidine. You should also drink plenty of mineral water (2-3 liters a day) and start some physical activity so the stone can be moved down (like jumping or running).
Hot bath should be also helpful as it relaxes smooth muscles as well.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
.

Detailed Answer:
The main problem with kidney area pain is that it may be caused by other than kidney issues. If you have spine disc problems diagnosed before, and there is no symptoms mentioned in previous reply, spine disc herniation may be the main reason of your problems. And if medicines and resting do not make your pain less intense, there might be a need of surgical intervention.
That is why I suggest you to have spine MRI. In a meanwhile you may try anti inflammatory medicines like Diclophenac or Meloxicam along with resting.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
