What Causes Eye Floaters After Travelling?

Question: hi!
I just got back from a 4 month trip to South XXXXXXX and am HOPING that this is just jet lag and fatigue, but.... I am having a weird eye thing where I am seeing sort of.....prisms outside my direct line of sight, does that make sense? Not really "spots" but, like right outside of directly where I'm focussing on, its like everything is dancing sort of... Also I feel queasy, as if car sick (or like I did when I was pregnant) and I have heartburn that won't go away. I'm also super thirsty. This just seems super weird to me but not really something to go to the emergency room over. Thanks for your help!

Hello,
Thank you for your response!
To answer your questions:
The visual symptoms started yesterday and come and go, but were strongest, for about 20 minutes, right before I signed up for this service.
They did not start until I got home from XXXXXXX
I have had 2 nights in a row of 8 solid hours of sleep since I arrived home on Wednesday.
I am on no medications for any reason currently. I do not drink alcohol or use drugs at all, the exception being that I am a cigarette smoker.
I do have vertigo/dizziness/nausea. Its been constant since arriving home on Wednesday. It increases when I eat, and also at night.
I have not vomitted.
Thank you for your help!

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Based on your description and answers to the follow up, I would advise
a) The eyes need to be examined. Tonometery should be done to determine the intraocular pressure. Visual acuity and field testing should also be done. If its an ophthalmological cause then it can be treated there and then.
b) Blood pressure, blood sugar, complete blood count and serum electrolytes should be determined to look for any abnormality. Taking into account your trip to XXXXXXX Hepatitis profile, liver function tests and malaria testing can also be advised to be on the safe side.
C) Take plenty of fluids, stay well hydrated. Use meclizine and omeprazole for the heart burn and nausea feeling. For the vertigo, betahistine or prochlorperazine can be used for symptomatic treatment till the cause is determined.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
