What Causes Eye Pain While Using Genticyn Eye Drop?

Question: Hello doctor,

My wife has taken the drops Genticyn eyedrops coz she had pain. But this eye drops was opened on 10th July 2017. Now she is telling that pain is still there and she is suspecting that she will get swelling.

Attached is the image of the eyedrops.

Please let us know if this is something serious and needs immediate attention? What can we do about it?

Brief Answer:
eye drop is ok and opening on tenth july does not effect the efficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Eye drop is ok and should be effective.You need an eye check up by an eye doctor for any other ailment of eye. It can be calazion for which there will be swelling but it is to be incised and scooped.It is not serious and will be cured with this eye drop and along with neosporine eye ointment can be applied at bedtime.
