I have been tested for just about everything this year. I also have costochondritis. every test is clear but my blood pressure is somewhat elevated. Cancer and heart disease have been ruled out

The doctor can't find anything wrong despite vigorous testing of heart and bloods hormones cancer etc... I have lost 13 kilos without trying over the last year. I feel worse around 1 to 3 pm. Suddenly more tired with drooping heavy eyelids. My arms and legs feel heavy all the time. Yoga doesn't help. I don't drink. I eat a balanced diet as much as possible but reduced appetite. Exercise makes me feel worse not better. I frequently feel a bit better toward the evening. Sleep is poor quality and slight bladder retention. Occasionally nausea. I only take low dose serotide accuhaler and ventolin and low dose HRT. Post menopausal for 3 years.

bloods.. urine... chest ex rays.. ecgs... thyroid... glucose... hormones... Cancer tests... all normal. blood pressure elevated.
no fever at all. weight loss... 13 kilos over the last 11 months. I was 90k in January. now 76.5 kilos. a bit of restless legs at night. sometimes a strong pain in my calf muscle at night wakes me up. not cramp... but it goes away again with vigorous massage and I go back to sleep.

Sorry... also must add chronic dry eyes ... often feel I have something in my eyes... for the last 4 months... the costochondritis is manageable with Yoga.. costochondritis has
been going on for about 18 months . some days are better than others. I also have trouble maintain body temperature. Sensitivity to both heat and cold.

Brief Answer:
then the only conclusion that remains is Chronic fatigue syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, since you are sure all your tests are normal, then the only conclusion that remains is Chronic fatigue syndrome. It is almost a diagnosis that we doctors make when we cannot find anything else.

I'll suggest the following--

Please take a multi vitamin/multimineral supplement that includes B-12, Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium, sodium, potassium and vitamin E.

You can try a mild anxiolytic like Alprazolam 0.25mg at night.
Take a decoction of ginger, cumin, coriander to stimulate your appetite.
Join a GROUP activity for yoga/exercise.
And lastly, balance as it may sound, see and read only comedy serials/movies/books.

Feel free to ask further
I would like to wish you all the best and I am sure you will improve.
Regards.

OK. thanks... May I ask if it is perhaps adrenal fatigue or hypertension? because of high blood pressure and I also wake up feeling hungry in the middle of the night and grab a little chocolate before going back to bed. I also notice that yesterday I forgot to take my fish oil. and only had 2 capsules the day before. so I took 3 fish oil late last night and feel less muddled today... brighter... but still heavy limbs. eyes are less dry. but still feeling kinda heavy eyelids.... until recently... the last month... I was on high doses of asthma steroids for many years. as well as having a low stress threshold... so I used to be a very stressed person with a fairly constant feed of cortisol and adrenaline on a daily basis. both good stress and bad... I am sociable enough. fairly happy person now. I have overcome much of my anxious nature with mindfulness and yoga and meditation.

Also . .. this may be essential information . .. before all this started i had a very aggressive infection under my left arm . the arm pit. many cysts formed and were large and pussy . .. seemingly to tunnel together under the skin. it took about a month on strong antibiotics to clear it. I had to change antibiotics after about 2 weeks .
since then I lost all interest in alcohol and fatty foods. I have become Sensitive to junk food and preservites etc... the costochondritis and fatigue etc started shortly after .

Brief Answer:
due to various factors, your immunity has gone down.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, due to various factors, your immunity has gone down. But do look out for Diabetes in the future. Monitor your blood glucose every three months.

No, I do not think it is adrenal fatigue.

Multi vitamin/multimineral supplement suggested by me that includes B-12, Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium, sodium, potassium and vitamin E should help.
I am glad you are outgoing and fairly fun loving.

I think this is a passing phase and your health will improve. All the best again. Regards

OK. I think you are spot on... especially considering my weird aversion to alcohol and various new food intolerances. I did some research on the side today...it all fits.... Is the aggressive infection under my armpit last year and antibiotics connected?
and is my ribcage pain related to CFS too?
