What Causes Fatigue, Headaches And Hot Flashes?
Question: My son-in-law returned from Thailand recently with fatigue, headaches, intermittent heating of lower abdomen, general hot flushes. Test results for everything normally considered are all negative. He has had low testosterone but never all these severe symptoms. Could he have been bitten by a tic in Asia? What other causes could explain his condition? He has been too ill to work or socialize for several weeks and no improvement. Any ideas welcome.
Brief Answer:
Requires to be investigated
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for the query.
Appreciate your concern.
There are several possibilities like andropause with its associated depression and social withdrawal or an occult infection.
He is likely to be helped by a consultation with a specialist in Internal medicine who will examine and investigate him appropriately.

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX
I forgot to mention my son-in-law also has 'brain fog', trouble concentrating/thinking. And he became ill quite suddenly, his symptoms began on the plane on the way home from Thailand. So while low testosterone and its causes may be a factor there does seem to be another problem. He will see an intern medical professional, called here a physician. What is an occult infection.
Many thanks.
