What Causes Feeling Of Food Stuck In Throat When I Eat?
GERD and esophageal problems to rule out through following examinations...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
1. I need to also know:
- are you having heartburn too?
- any change in your bowel movements: gas? diarrhea? constipation?
- any medication you take on regular basis?
- any change in your diet menu?
- is all type so food not getting down including solid? or liquids? or just one of them?
2. Your symptoms are suggestive of possible GERD. I advise to get further:
- examined by GI specialist
- schedule upper endoscopy and
- esophageal manometry test
- abdominal ultrasound
to evaluate your condition further.
3. Until you get the requested exams, I advise to:
- eat often and small portions; chew up slowly; do not rush
- avoid foods like chilly, spicy, citrus that could aggravate your symptoms
- take antacids after eating
- avoid using straw when drinking
Hope it was of help!

Still think you need to undergo further diagnostic tests. ..
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for providing the requested information.
ASA you are taking is referring to aspirin which is often associated with stomach irritation as common side effect.
Although you are not having heartburn, I still think you need further diagnostic tests to rule out GERD and/or duodenogastric reflux (bile reflux ).
So, still thinking you need to undergo upper endoscopy and esophageal manometry test.
Diet changes together with changes in the way you eat (as mentioned above) can also help.
