What Causes Feeling Of Lump In The Throat And Chest Discomfort?
Question: I'm having a lot of chest discomfort and feels like a knot in my throat. I went to an er and did an ekg which was normal and just diagnosed me with gastritis and they gave me Antiguan and lidocaine and mageiusm for the chest discomfort but that feeling is still there and it's been there for over a week. Eating is a sacrifice. Please help

Feeling of knot in throat is called globus. Gastroesophageal reflux disease and post nasal drip are two common causes for Globus.
I presume you have do not have sinusitis/nasal stuffiness.
Since you have chest discomfort also, the most likely cause is gastroesophageal reflux disease.
You continue taking Nexium for relief.
Also certain dietary/lifestyle changes are to be done for complete relief.
1. Avoid coffee, citrus, chocolates. carbonated beverages, fatty food
2. Eat multiple smaller meals
3. Go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.
