What Causes Fever And Burning Sensation While Passing Urine?

On 15th Mar(last sunday) morning I got fever and felt burning sensation while passing urine. I took paracetamol on sunday and fever was not controlled and it was close to 99 to 100 F. Next day (Monday) I felt bit okay w.r.t fever but burning sensation continued. By after noon I felt feverish and went to doctor and told my symptoms. Doctor asked to go for Diabetes test and urine analysis and culture. As culture takes 48 hrs , she asked to me take below medicine . Diabetes report showed 88 and doctor said its normal.
LEVOFLOX 500MG ( Only in the night)
CITRALKA SYRUP ( 2 SPOONS 3 TIMES A DAY)
URISPAS TAB ( MORNING AND NIGHT)
DOLO (if felt feverish)
I used this medicine for two days and immediately after first day , fever is not there.
Now reports came and WBC count shows 8-10 /HPF seems to be problem and culture test reported no growth. Doctor asked me continue below medicine after seeing reports , I said to doctor that I still have minute burning sensation but no fever.
LEVOFLOX & BIFILAC HP for 8 days as I used LEVOFLOX already for 2 days.
Doctor also said if the burning sensation continues for 2-3 days more from now I need to get back to him as he might need to change the antibiotic in that case.
Am I going through right meditation ?
Can burning sensation continue even fever getting reported ? Does that mean still infection is there but minute ?
levoflox - good for urinary infection..
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through your description. It seems you recently developed urinary tract infection and levoflox is good enough medication for the condition. Though culture test was not positive, you were rightly treated.
Now, symptoms of recovery is not constant and some individuals may experience the burning for a few days more. As you are afebrile (without fever), you more likely responded well to the treatment and the infection is in control. You should wait for couple of days more. Continue citralka syrup - it eases burning sensation. And drink plenty of water.
If in case, the burning sensation continues beyond 3 days, I would consider repeating urine tests and referral to urologist for continued evaluation. However I feel you will do fine by then. So don't be worried.
Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarification.

No drowsiness...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Apologies for the late reply.
Generally, you shouldn't be having drowsiness, not due to medications. So it will be alright taking them as instructed.
Bifilac is a probiotic. It replaces normal intestinal commensals which may get depleted due to levoflox. It will benefit you.
In other words, the drugs will be fine. You can take them as instructed.
If you have no more questions, please close the discussion. Wish you speedy recovery...
