Brief Answer:
Sequelae of vaccination

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. These are all common sequelae of shingle vaccine due to live virus in it. The fever as well as the redness over the injection site is all due to vaccine. Its due to gelatin in the vaccine which causes redness and erythema. Allergy to gelatin may cause erythema. Application of topical corticosteroids will relieve the redness. You may take some acetaminophen for the fever.

The most common side effects of the shingles vaccine are redness, pain, tenderness, swelling and itching at the injection site, fever and headaches .

Wait and see it shall resolve in a couple of days if the redness or pain or fever persists seek a doctor for further management.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
