What Causes Fever, Coughing Up Blood, Sore Throat, Swallowing Difficulty, Nose Bleed?
Question: I saw a urgent care doc last Thurs he said I have a cold and would get better and said 72 hours. I have a horrible cough, sore throat since a week ago Saturday. Lost my voice completely on Friday and my temp has gone from 101 to 98.7 and today started climbing again and is now at 100.2. My normal temp is 97.4. I have difficulty swallowing anything other than soft food. I am having a double nose bleed now, I originally went to doc because I was coughing up blood with nasty looking phlegm. The cough is racking unless I sit very calmly or sleep on a couple pillows.
Brief Answer:
Respiratory tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
You have a respiratory tract infection.
It started as an upper respiratory tract infection but has progressed to lower also. It might have been a viral infection but now you probably have a super added bacterial infection. You would require an antibiotic and since it is a prescription medicine, it would be better if you could see doctor, have tests done and started on appropriate medicines.
Do get back to me if you have any further queries.
Wish you a quick recovery.
