Posted on Mon, 24 Oct 2016
Question: After rotator Cuff surgery I ran a low grade fever for several days. Now the inside if my nose on both sides is 'scalded' feeling and bleeds when I try to blow it or clean it. The pain is really significant. What could this be?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

How was your day?

Hope this message finds you in good health.

I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.

considering that you had low grade fever after the surgery, free radicals keep circulating inside your body to form crusts and scalds inside the mucosal linings like inside of the nose.

moreover, the antibiotics and other medicines that are usually prescribed after the surgery , increase the body heat and eosinophils causing the drying of the mucosal lining. such mucosas bleed quite easily.

i suggest, you should consult a ent specialist and start some soothing nasal drops and multivitamin tablets.

see if your orthopedic surgeon can reduce the amount of medicines that he has prescribed.

the symptoms that you are having, are usually temporary.
You should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about.

I hope your question has been answered.

Take care,God bless.
