What Causes Fever With Fibroid Uterus?
Question: Ihave esr of 80 and intermmitent fever 99-100 degree c. Ihave a uterine fibroid of about 12 weeks. kindly advise what should i do.

One of the cause of fever with associated fibroid uterus and raised ESR could be Red degeneration of fibroid also possibility of Tuberculosis needs to be considered.
You will require thorough assessment of fever
1. Ultrasound of abdomen
2. Complete Blood count
3. Urine routine and microscopy examination
4. Chest X ray
5. Peripheral blood smear
6. Malaria antigen
7. Thyroid profile
It's very important to arrive at cause of fever.
Have any investigation been done?
If yes what are all the investigation done?
Is there any weight loss or loss of appetite?
Any other associated complaints

Ct – bulky uterus shows a subserosalhypodense lesion with central more prominent hypodense changes withcaicific foci within s/o uterine fibroid with degenerative changes within
