I am 56 and have not been thru menopause. I have been bleeding for over three weeks. Had a transvaginal ultrasound that showed a 5.2 cm ovarian cyst, another cyst in the cervix and two small fibroids. My cervix is enlarged and the lining is measuring 8mm. The doc has me scheduled for a biopsy in two weeks. Since I have only been able to talk to the nurse, what does all of this mean and what could they be looking for?

What Causes Enlarged Cervix With Ovarian Cyst?
Hello, A few conditions where your cervix lining is thickened are cervical cancer, endometrial hyperplasia, and endometrial cancer. Mainly, the biopsy helps in screening cervical and uterine cancers. Please don t skip it at any cost. Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
