Brief Answer:
Classic UTI presentation with cystitis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking!
I am sorry for your troubles and living alone is very difficult at such a geriatric age when you need support and someone to take care of.
Stiff joints are age related bone degeneration and there is not much one can do about them except relieving the pain with some good and potent analgesics and pain killers.
Now the low grade fever with rigors and chills and tender to touch lower abdomen/ hypogastrium is all the classic presentation for UTI and bladder infections/ cystitis. All you need is a single urine routine exam and culture and a good antibiotic like quinolones, some toilet habit rehabs, some plenty of fluids intake with 10- 12 ounces of cranberry juices and you will be fine. Intrabladder instillation of hyaluronic acids will help too.You are a brave old woman and i appreciate the spirit in yours. Go to ER and let them fix it for you. You will be fine in no more than few hours.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
