What Causes Fluctuating BP Readings While On COREG?
yes, there are some recommended medications you can use
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
The medications that you will need will depend on the values of your blood pressure at rest.
The best machine to measure the blood pressure is the manual one. So I am afraid that your high value readings are not accurate. I would not want you to take many medications and have side effects from them.
Lets say that you measure your blood pressure regularly and it shows high in general. Of course you can add above coreg, or either increase its dose.
Coreg its a beta blocker, and two other medications you can use are a diuretic (Hydrochlorthiazide 12.5 mg once/day its the most common used) and/or a ACE inhibitor like Enalapril or Captopril, ect.
If you will need one of both, and how much will be the final dose, will depend on those values and on constant follow ups with your doctor until he finds the correct dose for you to be able to keep your blood pressure under control.
Hope this is helpful.
