Brief Answer:
A few tests need to be done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. A step by step approach needs to be taken. With the steps that you have taken, your existing surge of blood sugar should get corrected. But a detailed evaluation is needed. I will insist you to get the following blood tests done:
* Blood for HbA1c, fasting blood sugar, post prandial blood sugar (on the same day, 2 hours after food)
* Blood for urea, creatinine
* Urine for microalbumin

Based on the above reports the treatment regimen can be modified suitably. However, you also need to see an endocrinologist (preferably with the reports) and remain under his follow up. I would not recommend self modification of doses as you are doing. An improper intervention will do more harm than good.

I would await your response.

Regards
