What Causes Fluttering Feeling In The Chest?

Question: I'm having fluttering in the center of my ribcage and it tightens up as if something is stuck there and it happens out of the blue and also when I bend over or turn a certain way.
Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to abnormal beating of the heart.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
The fluttering in the chest is most likely to be due to an abnormal beating of the heart. Often an EKG taken at the time of this flutter will reveal the type of abnormal beat. If nothing is revealed, then it is better to see a cardiologist and have further tests like Holter monitoring of the heart and/or Holter monitoring.
This abnormal beating of the heart may give to a tight feeling in the chest.

What about a fatty liver? If my lab work came back normal in 4/2015 could it be possible I still have a fatty liver?
Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Fatty liver does not produce such symptoms. Even if you have a fatty liver detected on an abdominal ultrasound examination, it is unlikely to be the cause of your symptoms.
Have you had your Thyroid Functions tested?
