Question: I have had some fizzing in my urine for several months. I have read that it a natural occurence but sometimes a disorder of kidney or liver. Tests needed?

Brief Answer:
Tests not necessary unless you have other symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Fizzing in urine is normal. If it is occasional and not regular, not to worry.

2. If you have any diabetes or hypertension history, you need to get a urine examination to rule out any loss of protein in urine.

3. I do not expect a urinary tract infection to last for months. Concentrated urine due to dehydration can occasionally cause it.

Take plenty of fluids during day time.

Get a urine examination, if you have any chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus or hypertension or any burning urination or increased urination frequency (not related to increased fluid intake). If you do not have any, not to worry.

At present, I would advise my patients with these symptoms, not to worry and increase fluids intake.
Tests necessary only if above symptoms or conditions present.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
