What Causes Food Poisoning?
Question: Hello Doctor
My father has this problem of Food Poisoning which he gets almost every month. He takes all the precautions, which includes eating hygienic food, drinking clean water, but sometimes ends up eating from some of the food joints outside which is then followed by food poisoning, and is often accompanied by Vomiting and Diarrhea. And he ends up consuming a lot of antibiotics, which ultimately ends the suffering. We have been unable to find the root cause for this. Please assist here.

I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. I need to know more about his medical reports like upper endoscopy, blood work fecal culture tests.
2. His symptoms may be related with ;
- gastric issues like stenosis of the pylor
- food allergy or intolerance
- gallbladder /pancreatic issues
3. This is why I would recommend to do :
- fecal culture test
- serological tests and fecal tests for malabsorption and food allergy
- upper endoscopy
- abdominal ultrasound
If you have done these tests please send me by attach , so I can check them by myself.
