Brief Answer:
Laryngopharyngeal reflux... Siderophenic dysphagia...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query.

The symptoms described by you could be either related to Laryngopharyngeal reflux (secondary to acid reflux disease) or siderophenic dysphagia.

Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) does cause post nasal drip because of regurgitation of the acid contents from the stomach into the throat leading to inflammation of the mucosa and production of excess secretions to reduce the inflammation.

Similarly, in females if the hemoglobin in the body is less, there can be a sensation of lump or foreign body in the throat. A complete examination of the throat and the larynx aided with blood investigations will help in diagnosing the actual cause.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
