What Causes Frequent Burning Urination And Erectile Dysfunction?
Question: Hello Dr. I have attached my reports please sugges me what I have to do. I have taken treatment for chronic prostatitis from a urologist for a period of 3 months but the symptoms like frequent urination and sometimes burning urination, ED, PE problem still present, I have taken doxycyclin, ofloxacin, cipro and some medicine for increasing urine flow due to problem in urinating. I have attached semen, urine analysis and culture reports, testosterone level was 1.

Taking ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily from last 1week, urivoid 25mg twice daily from last 15 days, Flotral 10mg once daily from last 15 days.

Well, now i've some more idea about your tests and treatment.
1. Your Ultrasound shows, significant volume of urine(about 100ml.), remaining after passing urine. This means, you're not passing urine completely. For this, Flotral is started, as your doctor has thought, the probable cause is the prostate gland. Don't stop it till your review.
2.Urivoid acts to help in emptying your bladder completely. So don't stop that either. A Flow rate test, will give an idea, if your urine flow is normal.
3.As semen routine test shows plenty of pus cells, it's highly suggestive of an infection, hence you've been treated with antibiotics for last 3 months.
However, in such cases, a TRUS (trans-rectal ultrasound scan), of prostate gland is done to get information about possibility of Prostatitis.
4. As testosterone level is lower than normal, it's essential to know condition of both testis, on examination by doctor, and on trans- scrotal scan, which has not been done so far. Doctor's examination report is essential.
5. In infertility check-up, all male hormone levels must be checked, to know if they're in normal limits. You've done only testosterone test.
So, do FSH, LH, PRL test.

Thanks a lot, in this situation which antibiotics is better Doxycyclin ? Ciprofloxacin ? or any other because culture reports of semen and urine both are normal.
