What Causes Frequent Urination And Blood In Urine?

Question: I had cranberry juice Wednesday and had to pee every 5 minutes but was back to normal Thursday. Fine this morning (Friday) then Friday afternoon I started having the urge to pee but very little comes out. It hurts a little and there is a little blood. I've also been on vacation this week and having sex each day. I would be very thankful for any help.

Brief Answer: Possibly due to Cystitis Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Dear XXXX Increased frequency of urination, urgency and Blood in Urine suggest the possibility of Cystitis (infection of Urinary bladder) also known as Honeymoon Cystitis if it occurs after sexual activity. Factors which could have predisposed to it are 1. Sexual activity 2. Decreased intake of water 3. Water loss through evaporation and exposure to hot and humid climate of beach You may experience mild discomfort in lower abdomen, in the absence of fever there is no cause for concern. I would suggest you the following which will definitely help 1. Ensure good intake of water : 2 to 3 liter of water per day 2. Tablet Ciprifloxacin 500 mg twice a day 3. Tablet Phenazopyrridium 200 mg thrice a day for 2 days. This is a urinary analgesic and will cause red discolouration of Urine. 4. Avoid violent sexual activity.
