Brief Answer:
Investigations needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Do you mean to say that you have a frequency of urination which is painful.
This indicates that you have a
urinary tract infection.
I would suggest such a patient to undergo following tests:
Routine blood tests particularly to see the white cell count and for sugar, serum urea and
serum creatinine.
Get
Thyroid function tests, if not done within the last 6 months.
Urine: routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
Ultrasonography of whole abdomen, with reference to your symptoms.
Clinical examination by the Gynecologist for any associated problem with genital parts and to see there is no prolapse of uterus with a
Cystocele ( so often missed).
All these test will try to pin-point the cause. and if found will make the treatment easy and targeted.
The antibiotics and supportive medicines can then be given as per the reports and for a duration of 3 weeks for a permanent cure.
As also one can go for a procedure if the investigations suggests so, like a stone or so.
Wish you good health.
