Brief Answer: Genital Molluscum Contagiosum Detailed Answer: Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your concern and I have understood your query. Looking at the picture I would keep a possibility of Genital Molluscum contagiosum which are dome shaped, skin coloured papules with central depression/dent. They are mostly asymptomatic. Molluscum is caused by a virus called Molluscum contagiosum virus(MCV). Genital molluscum is an STD. You must have acquired it from someone through sexual contact. Treatment is simple. They need to be removed. Various treatment modalities used for this purpose are: -Extraction with a needle -Removal with Radiofrequency cautery -Removal with CO2 Laser Topical imiquimod 5% cream can also be used. Imiquimod 5% cream is available on prescription from a dermatologist. It has to be applied for 5 consequtive days in a week and then 2 days off. Treatment may take several weeks (12 weeks-16 weeks) to show results and moreover imiquimod is quite an expensive medicine. It is anyways not a first line treatment for just a few molluscum lesions(3-4 in your case). Imiquimod is prescribed when there are numerous lesions (hundreds of lesions) in a particular area and it is not feasible to extract so many lesions with needle/radiofrequency/CO2 Laser. I would suggest that you visit a nearby dermatologist for the needful. regards
