Yes with viruses it possible in few cases.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM
Genital warts are caused by a group of viruses called HPV (short for human papillomavirus). There are more than 100 types of HPV. Genital warts can be passed from person to person through intimate sexual contact (vaginal, oral, or anal sex).In a male, that means near or on the penis, scrotum, or anus. Warts can appear any time from several weeks to several months after a person has been exposed to them. Sometimes they might take even longer to appear because the virus can live in the body for a very long time before showing up as warts. It can take months, or even years, for warts to develop after infection with HPV. But yes with virus everything is possible so if you're in a relationship and you get genital warts, it does not necessarily mean your partner has been having sex with other people. There have been such cases reported. Drink plenty of fluids and eat protein rich balanced diet with fruits, vegetables and multivitamins supplements. Get rid of it by cautery, laser, etc from a dermatologist.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
It can be possible that one has contracted infection and spread to other. It has been estimated that the incubation period from HPV infection to genital wart development is 2 weeks to 8 months, with the majority of genital warts appearing 2–3 months after an HPV infection. The prevalence of HPV among spouses and partners is about 1.2 percent as comparable to the 1.3 percent prevalence of HPV among the general population of the same age, the researchers have found. Don't worry on these issues. You both need to get treated as in future there is possibility of cancers. Get her vaccinated for HPV. Visit a dermatologist and start treatment.Use treatment such as salicylic acid. Other treatment can be freezing the wart (cryotherapy), removing the wart with surgery (electrosurgery, curettage, laser surgery). Get treated for your children safety and future.
