What Causes Grade 2 Benign Tumors?
Recurrence may occur in one third of patients.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your diagnosis, treatment received so far and current status.
I am glad to note that you are doing well for five months after cyberknife radio surgery.
The rate of recurrence varies depending on various factors such as size and location of meningioma, and the extent of removal. However, grading is the most important predictor of recurrence.
In grade 2 benign tumors, if we follow up the patients for about 10 years after surgery, about one third of them would develop recurrence of meningioma.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
