What Causes Groin Pain And Sharp Pain On Right Side Of Mid Back?
tingly sensation right under my skin that rode up the right side of my body and now is a sharp pain on the right side of my mid back about a fist away from my spine. really concerned it is a bacterial or parasitic infection of some sort. been to 8 doctors but blood work, urine, stool come back relatively normal. only thing is my White blood cell count is elevated hovering between 10,000-19,000.
antibiotics help alleviate symptoms but after 6 weeks the symptoms returned about 3 days after I stopped.
this is seeking havoc on my life right now. symptoms getting unbearable. Is there a way to definitely check for an infection?

I've been dealing with these symptoms for over 10 months. gets progressively worse.
other symptoms - right leg extremely achy. pain in right testicle. sperm smells really bad. pain in right side of head. noticeable head change about 7 months ago. get hot spells. especially at night. wake up drenched in sweat.
also had a bubble of fluid that rode up my back with the tingly sensation. split from tingle which remains in mid back on right side about a fist away from spine. tingle will change to shape needle like pain a few times a day. fluid continued to ride up my back until it reached my neck on right side. one there caused sore throat only on right side for a few days. then moved to ear, caused sharp pain in right ear for a few more days. until it reached my skull. imagine a half golf ball size of fluid which would move away from coldpack. caused right side of head to hurt. fluid moved to back of skull where my head meets spine. no activity since. pain remains.
ultrasound of groin, abdomen, bladder normal
will get ultrasound of prostate Tuesday.

Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have varied symptoms not related to any particular system or organ since last 10 months .
The pain in testicle with bad smelling semen and lower back ache with tingling sensation in legs could be due to infection of the prostate (Prostatitis) .
After going through the details that you have highlighted now I would be glad to know whether you had unprotected sex with unknown woman in the past and had done basic screening test for STD or HIV any time during the course of last 10 months ?
The symptoms pertaining to testicles and leg could be due to Prostatitis and needs to be investigated further by doing
1) Semen examination and semen culture
2) Ultrasound scanning of the prostate
3) Blood tests for STD and HIV
In the mean while continue taking antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines twice daily .
Do write after you get the reports the reports of these tests.
Thanks and Regards.

i have not been sexually active. i still got tested for std's and hiv on 3 different occasions during the past 8 months and the test come back clean. should I get tested again? last test was 6 months ago.
different symptoms will get better with antibiotics
testicle pain would go away with Doxycycline. taken for 30 days. pain returns when stopped.
lower abdomen groin pain would go away with zithromax. taken for 6 weeks. no pain or irritation since.
tingly sensation in back almost went away with Cirpo/flagyl combo. taken for 3 weeks. has returned since stopped last week.
since stopping antibiotics, I get this bubbley sensation in my penis/urethra. seems to be getting stronger.
other tests are too numerous to attach (8 doctors over 10 months), but everything comes back relatively normal except for White blood cell count. checked blood, urine, stool.
Your symptoms coluld be mostly due to Chronic Prostatitis .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.
Your symptoms are mostly due to Chronic Prostatitis which has tendency to relapse and recur again .
Get semen culture done to trace out the organism and their sensitivity pattern so that infection can be controlled by taking appropriate antibiotics.
There is no need to repeat blood tests for STD.
Thanks and Regards.

I am at a loss... don't know what to do anymore. the pain in my perineum is still there off and on. and it feels like it is getting worse since I stopped the antibiotics. my testicle also continues to hurt.
Get culture of a discharge from urethra after prostate massage done .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .I do understand your concern .
Pain in penis ,testicles and perineum strongly suggest Chronic Prostatitis.
Chronic prostatitis is characterized by having symptoms typical of infection of Prostate but difficult to be diagnosed as you do not get any positive finding on almost all laboratory test .
I would suggest you to do culture of urethral discharge obtained after prostate massage .The fluid that you get is the secretion directly from the prostate which helps to achieve pinpoint diagnosis
I would also suggest you to get prostate massage done every day by one of your close family member .This will help to discharge secretions from the prostate and relive congestion of prostate which there by helps to get relief from symptoms .
I have been practicing this modality for my patients with Chronic Prostatitis since last 40 years of my practice and getting satisfactory results .
Please discuss about this modality of treatment with your Urologist .
Thanks and Regards.
