Question: i am on xaltro. My lower gums bleed at night and I wake up with dried blood on my lower lip. Do I have to put up with this. or should I be concerned. I have used salt water, but that is only a partial help. Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain Xarelto is a blood thinning medication and can increase the probability of bleeding..

However bleed from lower gums can be due to gum infection and inflammation which can bleed on slight stimulation also and the tendency of bleeding can increase with blood thinners..

So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
In case of gum infection Scaling followed by gum paint massage over the gums and also continuing warm saline gargle can help..

Please write back for further queries..

Regards..
