What Causes Hallucinations While Suffering From Peripheral Neuropathy?
Read below
Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
I suppose by TMI you mean TIA (transient ischemic attack). Atorvastatin is commonly used for stroke prevention. However at times it may cause muscle damage leading to pain and weakness in the limbs which might be responsible for the symptoms you mention as neuropathy. For that reason I believe that some blood tests for muscle damage enzymes should be scheduled and the dosage of atorvastatin should be at least reduced (you are at the maximum dosage, perhaps too much for your age)
As for the hallucinations they are not a side effect of atorvastatin treatment. You should mention those to your physician, perhaps another brain imaging may be scheduled for the possibility of a silent stroke.
I remain at your disposal for other questions.
