Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for the query.
If it's a respiratory tract infection for which you are taking the antibiotic, it may not have started acting or may not be sufficient to tackle a strong infection. If it is an infection at another site, you may be having an allergic reaction to the medicine. If your symptoms are getting worse, it would be better to see the doctor again or attend the ER.
Do get back to me if you have further questions.

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX
I've been taking the medicine for about 30 hours now and took my most recent dose about 6 hours ago. My pulse rate is 64, if that helps.
Thanks,

Brief Answer:
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
Your pulse rate is normal and so it's likely that your lungs are aerated adequately. You didn't let me know the site of infection and I presume it is an upper respiratory tract infection. These are usually viral and it's difficult to differentiate from a bacterial infection without blood tests. Only bacterial infections respond to antibiotics. Viral infections have to be eliminated by the body's immune mechanism and it would take a few days.
So if you are not worse, you ought to be better in a few days. If the symptoms are getting worse you should see the doctor.
Wish you a quick recovery and good health.
