Brief Answer: Check his Blood Pressure; ER visit if required. Detailed Answer: Hi there XXXX May I suggest that this appears to be a migraine attack & need not be much to worry about. However, given your husband's age, if you have a BP apparatus of any type around the household (or borrow one from your neighbours'), please do check his blood pressure. If this is high, then I suggest a trip to your local hospital's ER sooner than later. If not, please do provide symptomatic relief with a simple Tylenol (paracetamol) tab (2 tabs of 500mg each may be safely given); draw the curtains & keep the noises around him down; lots of oral fluids to rehydrate. Please do ascertain if he has eaten out & may be the victim of some sort of food poisoning? I do hope I have given you pointers' in the right direction. Do hope he gets better soon & all is well on the western front! Cheers & Godspeed! Dr Praveen Rodrigues MD
